The PJ16148RH is a 16.27 in H x 14.40 in W x 8.13 in D (413 x 366 x 207 mm) Type 4X junction box whose raised solid cover opens on a continuous stainless steel hinge. With its 8.13 in depth and hinged access, it serves as an instrument enclosure, electric, hydraulic or pneumatic control housing, or terminal wiring enclosure that is opened routinely.
The box and matching cover are compression molded fiberglass reinforced polyester, finished gray and UV inhibited against outdoor weathering. The material is easy to punch, cut or drill, rated for an impact index of 6.78 J (5 ft/lb), and operates from 130°C to -40°C (266°F to -40°F).
Two stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-rings close the door into #10-32 brass inserts, and the fasteners include a provision for padlocking. A closed cell neoprene gasket seals the cover for wet, hose-down and corrosive service.
The PJ16148RH is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
Four stainless steel mounting feet attach with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless feet screws. The optional 14R1513 inner panel (14.75 x 12.88 in / 375 x 327 mm) mounts on internal brass inserts. Shipping weight is 14 lbs (6.35 kg).
