Hammond PHC50PGA 50VA 24V Primary, 24 VCT Secondary Control Transformer

The PHC50PGA is a 50VA control transformer with a 24V primary and a 24 VCT (center-tapped) secondary rated 2.08A. Unlike the other PHC Series parts, which take 120V to 600V primaries, it works from a 24V supply, and it is an open style, chassis mount unit for low voltage, low power control use.

Its center-tapped 24V secondary and 24V primary make it the odd one out in the PHC range; at 2.25 in (57 mm) deep it is also slightly shallower than the other 50VA PHC units. Electrically, the PHC50PGA is rated 50VA with a 24V primary and a 24 VCT (center-tapped) secondary at 2.08A, for 60 Hz operation.

Overall dimensions are 2.63 in (67 mm) high (C), 4.00 in (102 mm) wide (A) and 2.25 in (57 mm) deep (B), with mounting hole centers (D) of 3.56 in (90 mm). The transformer mounts directly to a chassis and comes with 10" leads for wiring to the control circuit. Shipping weight is 2.11 lbs (0.96 kg).

The PHC Series is UL listed (File #E207860) and CSA certified (209651), and this part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant. The series table covers 25VA and 50VA units with primary voltages of 120V, 208V, 347V, 480V and 600V feeding a 24V secondary, plus a 50VA version with a 24V primary and 24 VCT secondary, so the same open style format can be matched to the supply voltage available in the panel.
