Hammond PCJ664CCF 6x6x4 Clear Screw-Cover Polycarbonate Box, Flanged

The PCJ664CCF is a PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a clear polycarbonate lift-off screw cover and glued polycarbonate flanges for mounting. The square 6 x 6 x 4 in body measures 5.93 in high by 6.16 in wide and 3.98 in deep and takes the PCJR0505 inner panel at 4.81 x 4.81 in. It protects controls and components indoors and outdoors, in applications such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plants.

Box and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and the body is easily punched, cut, or drilled. The lift-off cover is fixed with 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing specifies (4) each #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel captive cover screws. On this size the moulded hinge barrels are removed from the lid and body. A captive oil resistant gasket (FIP polyurethane gasket per the drawing) provides a positive seal. Screw fasteners are stainless steel 316.

Measured enclosure dimensions are 5.93 in (151 mm) high by 6.16 in (156 mm) wide by 3.98 in (101 mm) deep, with a .14 in (3.68 mm) wall. Threaded brass inserts accept the optional PCJR0505 inner panel (4.81 in (122 mm) x 4.81 in (122 mm)) or a terminal kit; the drawing shows back panel options in aluminum, white steel or fiberglass. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

The PCJ664CCF ships in its flange-mount configuration, using (2) polycarbonate flanges (glued); the drawing calls for (4) each #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel flange and feet screws. Mounting hardware is included. Because this size is 14x12x6 or smaller, UL 508A and cUL listings cover Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 plus 6P, and ingress protection is IP66 and IP68 to IEC 60529; flammability is V-O per UL 94 and the UV rating is (f1) per UL746C. The box operates from -35 °C to 130 °C (-31 °F to 266 °F), has an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
