Hammond PCJ14126 14x12x6 Type 4X Polycarbonate Junction Box, Feet

The PCJ14126 is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a lift-off screw cover in solid light gray polycarbonate. It is a 14 x 12 x 6 in nominal enclosure measuring 13.94 x 12.16 x 5.98 in, the largest size covered by the series' Type 6P and IP68 ratings. The series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, and is aimed at industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.

The body and matching solid cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in a light gray finish that is easily punched, cut or drilled. The lift-off cover is fixed with 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing calls out (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring and a closed cell neoprene gasket. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering, and the series lists an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb) and operating temperatures from 130°C down to -35°C (266°F to -31°F).

For surface mounting, this version is fitted with 4 polycarbonate mounting feet with 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes, fastened with (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws. If you prefer mounting flanges, the equivalent is PCJ14126F. Threaded brass inserts are provided for optional inner panel or terminal kit mounting, and mounting hardware is included. The PCJR1311 optional inner panel for this size measures 12.75 x 10.88 in.

The PCJ Series is listed to UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13 and 6P (sizes 14x12x6 and smaller), complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and IP68, carries a V-0 flammability rating per UL 94 and a UV rating (f1) per UL746C. The PCJ14126 is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
