Hammond PCJ12104CCHF 12x10x4 Type 4X Polycarbonate Box, Clear Cover, Flange

The PCJ12104CCHF is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box in the 12 x 10 x 4 in nominal size, fitted with a hinged, screw-fastened clear cover and polycarbonate flanges. The clear lid leaves the contents visible with the cover closed; the light gray body and the cover are both injected polycarbonate. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor conditions, with applications that include industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.

The 12 x 10 x 4 in body measures 11.92 in (303 mm) high, 10.15 in (258 mm) wide and 3.98 in (101 mm) deep, giving a large flat layout area in a moderate depth. The optional PCJR1109 inner panel measures 10.75 in x 8.88 in (273 mm x 226 mm) and fixes to four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws. This size is drawn with a FIP polyurethane gasket, a 316 stainless steel hinge pin, and 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with a retaining O-ring; panel options shown are 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum and 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel.

The PCJ12104CCHF mounts through two polycarbonate flanges (glued), with four .34 in (8.65 mm) mounting holes at 12.75 in (323.85 mm) by 8.00 in (203.20 mm) centers. Flange screws thread into #10-32 brass inserts (316 stainless steel flange and feet screws), and mounting hardware is included.

Across the PCJ series the enclosure is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed as Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA Types, and is rated IP66 per IEC 60529, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. It operates from -35°C to 130°C (-31°F to 266°F), has a 16 J (12 ft/lb) impact index, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
