Hammond PCJ12104CCF 12x10x4 Clear Cover Type 4X Junction Box, Flange

The PCJ12104CCF is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a lift-off screw cover in clear polycarbonate. It is a 12 x 10 x 4 in nominal enclosure measuring 11.92 x 10.15 x 3.98 in, the shallower of the two depths offered in the 12 x 10 footprint. The series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, and is aimed at industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.

The box is injection moulded polycarbonate in a light gray finish and the matching cover is injection moulded clear polycarbonate, so the interior can be seen with the cover in place. The cover lifts off completely and is held by 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing calls out (4) #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring and a fip (formed-in-place) polyurethane gasket. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering, and the series lists an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb) and operating temperatures from 130°C down to -35°C (266°F to -31°F).

For surface mounting, this version is fitted with 2 glued-on polycarbonate flanges with 0.32 in (8.20 mm) mounting holes. If you prefer mounting feet, the equivalent is PCJ12104CC. Threaded brass inserts are provided for optional inner panel or terminal kit mounting, and mounting hardware is included. The PCJR1109 optional inner panel for this size measures 10.75 x 8.88 in.

The PCJ Series is listed to UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12, 13 and 6P (sizes 14x12x6 and smaller), complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and IP68, carries a V-0 flammability rating per UL 94 and a UV rating (f1) per UL746C. The PCJ12104CCF is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 5 lbs (2.27 kg).
