Hammond PCJ1084 10x8x4 Screw-Cover Polycarbonate Junction Box, Feet

The PCJ1084 is a PCJ Series Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid light gray polycarbonate lift-off screw cover and four polycarbonate feet for mounting. The 10 x 8 x 4 in body measures 9.93 in high, 8.15 in wide and 3.98 in deep and takes the PCJR0907 inner panel at 8.75 x 6.88 in. It protects controls and components indoors and outdoors, in applications such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plants.

Box and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering, and the body is easily punched, cut, or drilled. The lift-off cover is fixed with 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing specifies (4) each #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel captive cover screws. A captive oil resistant gasket (closed cell neoprene gasket per the drawing) provides a positive seal. Screw fasteners are stainless steel 316.

Measured enclosure dimensions are 9.93 in (252 mm) high by 8.15 in (207 mm) wide by 3.98 in (101 mm) deep. Threaded brass inserts accept the optional PCJR0907 inner panel (8.75 in (222 mm) x 6.88 in (175 mm)) or a terminal kit; the drawing shows back panel options in aluminum or white steel. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).

This part is the feet-mount version, with (4) polycarbonate feet; the drawing calls for (4) each #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws. Mounting hardware is included. Because this size is 14x12x6 or smaller, UL 508A and cUL listings cover Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 plus 6P, and ingress protection is IP66 and IP68 to IEC 60529; flammability is V-O per UL 94 and the UV rating is (f1) per UL746C. The box operates from -35 °C to 130 °C (-31 °F to 266 °F), has an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb), and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
