Hammond N1WS12106 12x10x6 in Type 1 Steel Wallmount Enclosure

The N1WS12106 is a Type 1 mild steel, three piece wallmount enclosure from the N1W S Series, measuring 12 in high x 10 in wide x 6 in deep (305 mm x 254 mm x 152 mm). It is designed for indoor use to enclose controls, instruments and components that do not require oil-tight or dust-tight protection. The 12 in x 10 in face with a 6 in wrapper is a general-purpose size for small control panels, instrument groups and junction duties indoors.

The enclosure is a three piece assembly of base, wrapper and door, attached and secured with metal screws. The 14 gauge reverse formed base acts as the mounting surface (there is no separate inner panel) and provides clearance for mounting hardware, so components can be mounted and wired on the base before the wrapper and door are installed. The 6 in wrapper is formed from 16 gauge steel with no knock-outs in the sides, and the door assembly is also 16 gauge steel.

The removable door rides on slip hinges and closes with a slotted quarter turn latch. The drawing shows a 10.31 in x 12.36 in door and a 9.44 in x 11.32 in door opening. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding screw is provided for the enclosure. Base, wrapper and door are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The N1WS12106 is listed to UL 50 Type 1 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 1 (CSA Cert. LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529, IP20. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships boxed at 11 lbs (4.99 kg), and accepts the series Type 1 Lock Kit and Padlock Adaptor accessories.
