Hammond N1A36247 36x24x7" NEMA 1 Wallmount Enclosure with Panel

The Hammond N1A36247 is a UL 50 and CSA Type 1 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 36 in high x 24 in wide x 7 in deep (914 mm x 610 mm x 178 mm). It is designed for indoor use to house controls, instruments and components that do not require oil-tight or dust-tight protection, making it a practical choice for panel builders, OEM engineers and electricians. At 7 in deep it is the shallowest of the three N1A depths (7, 9 and 12 in).

The enclosure is formed and spot welded from steel and finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating. A removable inner panel, 32.00 in (813 mm) high by 22.50 in (572 mm) wide and finished in white powder coating, mounts in the rear of the enclosure on collar studs. The removable door is mounted on slip hinges and is fastened with two slotted quarter turn latches (doors 30 in and higher are provided with two latches). A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud in the box.

The upright 36 x 24 in face gives a door opening of 22.75 in wide by 34.75 in high per the drawing, and the door itself measures 24.38 in x 36.38 in (W x H). Clear space available on the door is 22.75 in wide, with 15.25 in high areas shown on the drawing, useful when planning door-mounted devices.

Mounting holes are provided in the rear of the enclosure, laid out on 16.75 in x 33.88 in centres per the drawing; the optional N1AMFK mounting foot kit (set of 4 feet) provides a wall mounting alternative. N1A36247 complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20 (UL File E71072, CSA Cert. LR21001) and ships in a box at 94 lbs (42.64 kg).
