Hammond N1A302412 30x24x12" Type 1 Wallmount Enclosure with Panel

The N1A302412 is a 30-inch-high Type 1 wallmount enclosure that pairs a 24-inch width with a full 12-inch depth, the deepest of the three depths (7, 9 and 12 inches) listed in the N1A series table. It suits panel builders and electricians who need a mid-size indoor control box with a mounting panel already supplied.

The body is formed and spot welded from steel (the series uses 12 or 14 gauge), and a removable inner panel mounts on collar studs at the rear of the enclosure. The enclosure and door are finished in ANSI 61 gray powder coating, while the inner panel is white powder coated for good visibility when laying out and wiring components. A bonding stud is fitted on the door and a grounding stud in the box.

Nominal size is 30 x 24 x 12 inches (762 mm x 610 mm x 305 mm), and the inner panel measures 26.00 x 22.50 inches. The drawing for N1A302412 shows a door opening of 28.75 x 22.75 inches and an overall depth of 12.18 inches including the door. Shipping weight is 83 lbs (37.65 kg).

The removable door hangs on slip hinges, which the manufacturer uses on N1A sizes up to and including 36 inches high, and because the door is 30 inches or taller it closes with two slotted quarter-turn latches. Mounting holes are provided in the rear for wall installation, and the optional N1AMFK mounting foot kit (set of 4 feet) offers an alternative wall-mounting method. Accessories for the series include additional and perforated inner panels, a Type 1 lock kit, ventilation, window kits and a padlock adaptor.

The enclosure is rated UL 50 Type 1 and CSA Type 1 (UL File E71072, CSA certificate LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 1 and IEC 60529 IP20. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the N1A series is covered by the manufacturer's EU declaration of conformity to the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
