Hammond MHKL2SS 6" Keyed 316 Stainless Handle, 3-Point Latch Under 60"

The MHKL2SS is a 6" keyed padlocking enclosure handle kit with a 3-point latch, less-than-60" version, made in 316 stainless steel. It belongs to the MHK Series of Type 12/4, 4X handle kits and is intended for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a lockable operating handle on a Hammond industrial enclosure. As a key lock version, it includes 2 keys, and it also keeps the padlock "trigger" design for security requirements.

Construction is 316 stainless steel, and the handle kit carries a NEMA 4X rating in the MHK ordering table. Hammond states that the handle maintains the NEMA rating of the enclosure it is fitted to, and a removable handle stop lets the handle be set up for either clockwise or counter-clockwise operation.

This is the 3-point latch configuration designated less than 60" (Hammond description: "6" SS KEYED PADLOCKING 3PT < 60”"); the companion greater-than-60" version is listed separately in the series. The part drawing shows an overall dimension of 45.16, and the kit ships boxed at 3.6 lbs (1.63 kg).

Hammond specifies the handle for field installation on its 1418, 1422, UHD, HN4, HWHK enclosures with a minimum enclosure height of 24" (600mm); factory installation is optionally available by contacting Hammond. The MHKL2SS is REACH and RoHS compliant.
