The M3255-2001 is a pair of flush-mount folding handles for larger equipment cases, enclosures and instruments where a handle must sit flush when stowed. It is aimed at OEM designers and integrators building portable hardware.
The series describes a silver powder coated aluminum tray with a folding black powder coated matte aluminum handle; the drawing lists the handle material as steel, with a silver tray finish and a matte black handle finish. Carry capacity is 220 lbs. per pair.
The tray is 7.6" (194 mm) long, 3" (76 mm) high and 0.83" (21 mm) deep, and the handle itself is 6.4" (164 mm) wide and 2.3" (59 mm) high. The drawing shows ø4.25 mm [0.167 in] mounting holes, countersunk ø7.50 mm [0.295 in] x 90°, and a mounting opening laid out with dimensions of 183.01 mm [7.205 in], 170.82 mm [6.725 in], 72.85 mm [2.868 in] and 50.00 mm [1.969 in].
