The M263-1 is a pair of flush-mount folding handles for equipment cases, enclosures and instruments that need to be carried but should not have handles sticking out when stowed. It is aimed at OEM builders and integrators designing portable or rack-style gear.
Each handle has a black powder coated aluminum tray and a folding, spring loaded polished aluminum handle. The drawing gives aluminum as the handle material and a black/silver painted aluminum finish. The series lists a steady load capacity of 275 lbs. per pair.
The tray measures 5.1" (130 mm) long, 3.6" (91 mm) high and 0.79" (20 mm) deep, while the part page lists the size as 5.14 in x 3.6 in x 0.81 in (131 mm x 91 mm x 21 mm). The handle itself is 4" (102 mm) wide and 2.3" (59 mm) high. The drawing shows ø4.00 mm [0.157 in] mounting holes with a ø7.50 mm [0.295 in] x 90° countersink and a mounting opening laid out with dimensions of 118.00 mm [4.646 in], 109.25 mm [4.301 in], 79.50 mm [3.130 in] and 69.00 mm [2.717 in].
