The HWST483616S16 is a 48 x 36 x 16 in Waterfall Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel, built to IP69K and Type 4X to protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial and hose-down environments. Its 25° sloped top keeps water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential space for controls mounting for OEM panel builders and plant engineers.
The HWST483616S16 is the 316 stainless steel version of this size (the 304 stainless equivalent is HWST483616SS). The series is formed from 304 or 316L stainless steel, and the cover and enclosure have a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, a formed lip on the enclosure body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door.
The front height (H1) is 48.00 in (1219 mm) and the overall height to the peak of the 25° sloped top (H2) is 55.40 in (1407 mm), with a width of 36.00 in (914 mm) and depth of 16.00 in (406 mm). The part drawing shows a door of 47.37 in high by 34.43 in wide, and a door opening of approximately 45.57 x 33.63 in. Shipping weight is 143 lbs (64.86 kg). Doors close with 316 stainless steel quarter-turn latches that need a tool to open, and the 316 stainless hinges open 180 degrees, are interchangeable and remove easily for modifications.
