Hammond HWST483612SS 48x36x12" 304 Stainless Sloped-Top Wallmount Enclosure

The HWST483612SS is a 48 x 36 x 12 in Waterfall Series wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel, built to IP69K and Type 4X to protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial and hose-down environments. Its 25° sloped top keeps water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential space for controls mounting for OEM panel builders and plant engineers.

The HWST483612SS is the 304 stainless steel version of this size. The series ordering table lists this size in 304 stainless only. Cover and enclosure are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, a formed lip on the enclosure body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door.

The front height (H1) is 48.00 in (1219 mm) and the overall height to the peak of the 25° sloped top (H2) is 53.60 in (1361 mm), with a width of 36.00 in (914 mm) and depth of 12.00 in (305 mm). The part drawing shows a door of 47.37 in high by 34.43 in wide, and a door opening of approximately 45.57 x 33.63 in. Shipping weight is 156 lbs (70.76 kg). At 12 in (305 mm) deep, it offers more internal depth than the 8 in sizes in the series, with equipment mounted on the optional 18P4533 inner panel.

Doors close with 316 stainless steel quarter-turn latches that need a tool to open, and the 316 stainless hinges open 180 degrees, are interchangeable and remove easily for modifications. Collar studs are provided for the inner panel, a hardware kit includes panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure are supplied.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 and IP69K, and carries NSF/ANSI 169 (not every accessory maintains NSF). This part is RoHS and REACH compliant under UL File E65324 and CSA Certificate LR21001.
