Hammond HWST36308S16 36x30x8" 316 Stainless Sloped-Top Wallmount Enclosure

The HWST36308S16 is a 36 x 30 x 8 in Waterfall Series wallmount enclosure in 316 stainless steel, built to IP69K and Type 4X to protect electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial and hose-down environments. Its 25° sloped top keeps water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential space for controls mounting for OEM panel builders and plant engineers.

The HWST36308S16 is the 316 stainless steel version of this size (the 304 stainless equivalent is HWST36308SS). The series is formed from 304 or 316L stainless steel, and the cover and enclosure have a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, a formed lip on the enclosure body excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door.

The front height (H1) is 36.00 in (914 mm) and the overall height to the peak of the 25° sloped top (H2) is 39.70 in (1008 mm), with a width of 30.00 in (762 mm) and depth of 8.00 in (203 mm). The part drawing shows a door of 35.37 in high by 28.43 in wide, and a door opening of approximately 33.47 x 27.44 in. Shipping weight is 80 lbs (36.29 kg). This is one of the 8 in (203 mm) deep sizes in the series, with equipment mounted on the optional 18P3327 inner panel.

Doors close with 316 stainless steel quarter-turn latches that need a tool to open, and the 316 stainless hinges open 180 degrees, are interchangeable and remove easily for modifications. Collar studs are provided for the inner panel, a hardware kit includes panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure are supplied.

The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66 and IP69K, and carries NSF/ANSI 169 (not every accessory maintains NSF). This part is RoHS and REACH compliant under UL File E65324 and CSA Certificate LR21001.
