Hammond HW24248GYHK 24x24x8 Type 4 Hinged Wallmount Enclosure, Gray

The HW24248GYHK is the 8 in deep version of the square 24 x 24 in size, a common general-purpose footprint for control panels in plants and utility sites. Part of Hammond Manufacturing's HWHK Series, it is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments, including locations where equipment may be hosed down or be very wet, and outdoor installations needing full weather protection.

The HW24248GYHK measures 24 in x 24 in x 8 in (610 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm). The part drawing shows a single 22.19 x 22.21 in door with a door opening of 21.22 x 21.22 in, and 0.44 in wall mounting holes at 18.00 in horizontal spacing. The inner panel is optional: the series table pairs this enclosure with 18P2121, 21.00 in (533 mm) high by 21.00 in (533 mm) wide, mounted on the collar studs provided.

Bodies and doors are formed 14 gauge steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A powder coated black zinc diecast pad lockable handle drives a 3 point roller latching system, and the stainless steel continuous hinge lets the door be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door; a bonding stud is on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. Interior and exterior are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Ratings: UL 508A Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324), CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (CSA Cert. LR21001), complying with NEMA 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships boxed at 50 lbs (22.68 kg).
