Hammond HW24246SSHK 24x24x6 in 304 Stainless Type 4X Wall Enclosure

The HW24246SSHK is a Type 4X stainless steel wallmount enclosure with a hinged door and handle, measuring 24 in x 24 in x 6 in (610 mm x 610 mm x 152 mm). Built from formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, it is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments, including locations where equipment is hosed down or exposed to wet conditions and corrosion is a serious problem.

This square 24 x 24 in format is a single-door design, and a shallow 6 in depth suits controls that need a slim wall profile. The drawing shows a door opening of 21.21 in wide by 21.21 in high. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and a formed lip on the enclosure helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door.

The door is secured by a 316 stainless pad lockable handle with a 3 point roller latching system. Its stainless steel continuous hinge lets the door be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin. Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional inner panel for this size is part number 18P2121 (21 in (533 mm) H x 21 in (533 mm) W). A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure, and the cover and enclosure have a natural stainless steel smooth brushed finish.

The HW24246SSHK is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (CSA LR21001), and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships boxed at 56 lbs (25.40 kg).
