Hammond HW242010SSHK 24x20x10 In 304 Stainless Type 4X Wallmount Enclosure

The HW242010SSHK is a Type 4X stainless steel wallmount enclosure measuring 24 x 20 x 10 in (610 mm x 508 mm x 254 mm) H x W x D, with a hinged door and handle. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, industrial environments, including locations where equipment is hosed down or exposed to wet conditions where corrosion is a serious problem.

This is the 304 stainless steel version, formed from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel; a 316 stainless steel equivalent is offered as HW242010S16HK. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, and a formed lip on the enclosure helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door closes on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and is secured by a 316 stainless pad lockable handle with a 3 point roller latching system. The stainless steel continuous hinge can be removed by pulling the stainless steel hinge pin. The cover and enclosure are natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.

According to the part drawing, the door opening is 17.21 in wide x 21.21 in high, the door itself measures 18.19 in x 22.21 in, and the overall height is 26.25 in with an overall depth of 17.21 in. Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional inner panel for this size is 18P2117, measuring 21.00 in H x 17.00 in W. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. Shipping weight is 61 lbs (27.67 kg).

The HW242010SSHK is RoHS and REACH compliant, and the HWSSHK series is covered by a declaration of conformity to the EU Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
