The HVPCI-170 is a single 20 ft roll of 2.0" wide VpCI corrosion inhibitor tape. It is the higher-coverage tape in the HVPCI series: each linear inch provides protection for 1 cubic foot of enclosed space. It is meant for protecting electrical and electronic components inside non-ventilated enclosures, and suits maintenance teams and panel builders dealing with larger cabinets.
The tape is VpCI impregnated foam, 2.0" wide and 0.25" thick. Like other HVPCI emitter devices, it releases a vapor into the interior of the enclosure which deposits on the metal surfaces and forms a protective molecular layer. That layer provides multi-metal protection and helps reduce corrosion in the enclosure.
The tape is affixed via a self adhesive backing, and coverage is specified per linear inch. By comparison, the narrower HVPCI-150 tape covers 0.4 cubic foot per linear inch.
The roll ships at 1.1 lbs (0.50 kg) with a listed size of 11 in x 11 in x 4 in (279 mm x 279 mm x 102 mm). HVPCI-170 is REACH and RoHS compliant, and full technical details are available on a separate data sheet.
