Hammond HN4WM24428GY 24x42x8 Type 4 Two-Door Wallmount Enclosure

The HN4WM24428GY is the most compact size in the HN4 WM Series: 24 in tall, 42 in wide and 8 in deep, a low, wide cabinet for control layouts that spread horizontally along a wall. It belongs to Hammond Manufacturing's Type 4 two-door wallmount family, designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments where equipment may be hosed down or very wet, or outdoors where full weather protection is needed.

The HN4WM24428GY measures 24 in x 42 in x 8 in (610 mm x 1,067 mm x 203 mm). Inside is a removable inner panel of 21.00 in (533 mm) x 39.00 in (991 mm), finished in white powder coating. The drawing shows a door opening of 39.25 x 21.25 in, a usable depth of 8.03 in, and two 19.00 in wide doors, each 22.46 in tall. The center post is removable for easy installation of the inner panel, and the enclosure mounts to the wall through 0.44 in holes spaced 18.00 in apart horizontally.

The body is formed 12 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. The doors hang on heavy gauge continuous hinges, close against a seamless poured-in place gasket, and lock with a 3-pt padlocking handle. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

Ratings are UL 508A Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324) and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (CSA Cert. LR21001), with compliance to NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. The part is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships boxed at 107 lbs (48.53 kg).
