Hammond HN4FS903620S16 90x36x20 316 Stainless Type 4X Freestanding Enclosure

The HN4FS903620S16 is a single access, Type 4X freestanding enclosure built from 316 stainless steel for control systems that live in wet, washdown or corrosive locations. It is designed to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls, with provision for panel mounting or rack mounting of equipment, making it a fit for OEM machine builders, panel shops and plant engineers.

Construction uses smooth, continuously welded seams with no knockouts, cutouts or holes. A single door rides on a heavy gauge continuous hinge and closes onto a seamless poured-in-place gasket, secured by a 3-pt padlocking handle. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts with reinforcing support angles are provided for handling, and a grounding stud in the body plus a bonding stud on the door simplify bonding. The cover and enclosure carry a natural, smooth brushed stainless finish.

Nominal size is 90 x 36 x 20 in; the series ordering table lists the enclosure at 90.06 in H x 36.06 in W x 20.06 in D (2288 x 916 x 510 mm). The drawing shows a 33.31 in x 79.31 in door opening and 29.18 in x 78.86 in of clear space available on the door. Mounting channels are welded inside for the optional 90YFW full size panel or rack equipment rails.

The enclosure is listed to UL 508A Type 3R, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324), CSA Type 3R, 4X and 12 (LR21001), and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4X, 12 and 3 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships on a skid at 480 lbs. The 304 stainless equivalent is HN4FS903620SS.
