Hammond HMET18186 1800x1800x600mm Two-Door Type 12 Modular Enclosure

The HMET18186 is a Type 12 mild steel two-door modular freestanding enclosure measuring 1800 x 1800 x 600 mm (70.87 x 70.87 x 23.62 in, H x W x D). It is the widest 1800 mm two-door width in the series, built as a rugged housing for industrial control and operator interface equipment for panel builders, OEMs and plant electrical teams.

The frame is fully welded formed 14 gauge steel with a 25 mm hole pattern for component and accessory mounting. A foam gasket on all openings provides a dust-tight seal, and all doors and panels have bonding and grounding studs. The primary door is secured with a double-bit key and the secondary door with hidden quarter-turn latches; doors open 135° and can be interchanged, removed or reversed. Surfaces are phosphatized and finished in RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating.

The 600 mm depth sits between the 400 mm and 800 mm extremes of the series. The full-width inner mounting panel measures 1696 mm (66.77 in) high by 1699 mm (66.89 in) wide and is unpainted galvanized 12 gauge steel (some larger panels are temporarily substituted with painted steel due to sheet shortages). The drawing shows a 1708 mm (67.25 in) front opening height with the door removed and bottom gland plate cutouts of 512 mm and 306 mm. Shipping weight is 650 lbs (294.83 kg), on a skid.

The configuration includes the frame, a removable solid top panel, four lifting eyebolts, a removable bottom panel with gland plates, two front doors with door frames, removable rear cover panels with a welded rear center post (on units 1000 mm and wider) and the inner panel. An optional joining kit links frames for large-scale or mixed-use lineups; 14 gauge side panels are sold separately in pairs.

The HMET18186 is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12, complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54, and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
