Hammond HMESWF168 32U 19-Inch Rack Swing Frame, 1600 x 800 mm HME

The HMESWF168 is a 32U 19-inch rack mount swing frame that turns an HME modular enclosure 1600 mm high by 800 mm wide into a serviceable rack system. It is aimed at integrators and OEM engineers installing industrial Ethernet switches, routers, PLCs, industrial PCs, servers and patch panels inside a protected enclosure.

The frame is built from heavy-duty formed 12-gauge steel and finished in textured RAL 7035 light gray to match HME enclosure interiors. Its EIA-310 square-hole rails are punched for square holed cage nuts, and the open-frame design simplifies cable routing, improves airflow and makes future equipment additions easier.

Overall dimensions are 58.82 in (1494 mm) high, 27.72 in (704 mm) wide and 2.24 in (57 mm) deep, providing 32U of mounting space. On this 800 mm-width version the drawing shows an overall width of 704 mm (27.7 in) around a 500 mm (19.7 in) rail section, with slotted 1/4 turn fasteners and a handle. Shipping weight is 82 lbs (37.19 kg), packed in a box.

The HMESWF168 requires the HMESWK Swing Kit, sold separately. With the kit fitted, the entire rack assembly swings open up to 120° for access to rear wiring and equipment, and adjustable swing kit positions let the frame be located front-to-rear for equipment clearance and cable routing. It is manufactured in North America within an ISO 9001 certified facility and is TAA-compliant, RoHS compliant and REACH compliant.
