Hammond HMEDSTOPK01 Door Stop Kit for HME Modular Enclosures

The Hammond HMEDSTOPK01 is a door stop kit designed specifically for the HME Series of modular freestanding enclosures. It holds the enclosure door open in a fixed position as required, and prevents the door swing that can occur in field maintenance situations, which makes it useful for maintenance technicians, panel builders and facilities teams working inside HME cabinets.

When it is installed correctly using the hardware and directions provided, the HMEDSTOPK01 maintains the enclosure's NEMA 12 rating, so adding a door stop does not compromise the protection the HME cabinet was chosen for.

The kit ships in a bag at 2 lbs (0.91 kg) and contains a mounting plate, mounting bracket, door stop arm, door stop bracket, a door stop guide nut [13mm] and guide screw, plus the fasteners needed to fit them:

• (2) 1/4-20 KEP nuts and (1) 3/8-16 spring nut
• (1) 3/8 lock washer and (1) 3/8-16 x 3/4 hex bolt
• (4) #12 x 1/2" self tapping screws
• (2) 10-32 x 1/2" machine screws and (2) 10-32 KEP nuts

Assembly instructions (BUL10448, Rev. A) cover bottom left and top left installation. The mounting bracket is attached to the mounting plate, the bracket assembly is fixed to the frame channel with a spring nut, lock washer and hex bolt, and the door stop bracket is attached to the door frame starting at the 4th hole from the hinge using self tapping screws, after removing the center door frame screw. The arm then connects to the bracket with the door stop guide nut and guide screw. Tools listed are a Phillips screwdriver and open end wrenches, including a 13mm wrench. The kit is REACH and RoHS compliant.
