Hammond HME18108 1800x1000x800mm Single-Door Modular Enclosure, Type 12

The HME18108 is an 1800 mm tall, 1000 mm wide and 800 mm deep Type 12 modular freestanding enclosure with a single hinged front door. At 800 mm it takes the deepest depth offered in the HME ordering table, giving panel builders and OEM engineers generous room behind the door for industrial control and operator interface equipment in industrial environments.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel on a fully welded frame with a 25 mm hole pattern for component and accessory mounting flexibility. A foam gasket on all openings provides a dust-tight seal, and the enclosure complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54, with UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 listed as series standards. The exterior is phosphatized and finished in RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating, while the inner mounting panel is unpainted galvanized 12 gauge steel.

Nominal size is 70.87 x 39.37 x 31.50 in (1800 x 1000 x 800 mm). The inner panel measures 66.77 in (1696 mm) high by 35.39 in (899 mm) wide, and the drawing shows a 712 mm x 506 mm gland plate cut-out in the bottom. Shipping weight is 360 lbs (163.29 kg) on a skid.

Each unit is configured with the frame, a removable solid top panel, four lifting eyebolts, a removable bottom panel with gland plates, a solid front door with door frame, a removable rear cover panel and the inner mounting panel. The door opens 135° and doors can be interchanged, removed or reversed. Bonding and grounding studs are provided for all doors and panels. Frames join to neighbouring units with an optional joining kit for large-scale and mixed-use line-ups, and formed 14 gauge steel side panels are sold separately in pairs.
