The HLP8UR is an 8U rotating rack rail kit that lets standard 19-inch rack equipment be installed inside Hammond HLP, HLPB and ERP enclosure systems. It is aimed at integrators and OEM engineers building industrial networking, automation and edge computing panels who need EIA-310 rack capability without giving up enclosure protection.
This kit uses clip nut round hole EIA rails, so mounting positions can be set with 10-32 rack rail clip nuts to suit the equipment being installed. The rails rotate a full 180 degrees, allowing mounted switches, industrial PCs, patch panels, PLCs or communications hardware to swing out for wiring and servicing while keeping a compact enclosure footprint. Precision 1U rack unit markings simplify equipment installation and future expansion.
Mounting dimensions are 14.00 in (356 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide, providing 8U of usable rack height. The HLPUR Series is built from heavy-duty 14-gauge steel for a rigid mounting platform, and this part is listed in mild steel with a Smooth Black paint finish (the drawing notes the part as painted black textured) for long-lasting corrosion resistance.
