Hammond HLP8U31BK 8U 200 lb Low-Profile Wall Mount Cabinet

The HLP8U31BK is an 8U low-profile enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet for mounting 19-inch EIA-310 compliant equipment in structured IT and telecom environments. It is aimed at network closets, telecom and data communication rooms, and government, education and commercial IT installations where a defined load rating and installation integrity are required. As part of the HLP Series, it is a UL Listed 2416 wall-mount rack (UL File # E474597) load rated to 200 lb (90 kg) for installed equipment; UL2416 racks are evaluated using cabinet weight plus desired load with a 2x safety multiplier.

Construction is mild steel with a RAL9005 Black powder coat finish (GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA compliant) described on the drawing as painted sand texture black, with the mounting rails painted white. Overall dimensions are 31.00 in (787 mm) high x 27.50 in (699 mm) wide x 19.65 in (499 mm) deep, with a nominal listed size of 31 in x 30 in x 20 in (787 mm x 762 mm x 508 mm) and a shipping weight of 88 lbs (39.92 kg).

Rack capacity is listed as 10 rack units, made up of a 2U pivoting section plus 8U fixed. The internal adjustable mounting rails offer 180 degrees of flexibility, and the secondary 8U rail can be set in five positions: vertical up or down, 30 degrees up or down, and 90 degrees facing the user, with six reference positions shown on the drawing. Maximum vertical usable depth is 21.90 in (556 mm) with both rails installed, or 26.90 in (683 mm) with the fixed rail only. Rails are tapped 10-32.

The HLP8U31BK ships with the rear body, door cover, 2U rails, 8U main mounting rails, up to two installed locking latches, 25 10-32 mounting screws and installation instructions. Top and bottom double knock-outs and a 4 in fan mount grill pattern support cable entry and cooling accessories; wall mounting hardware is not included. The cabinet is TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and made in Canada.
