The HGS3 is a pair of Grid Spacers from the HMEGSS Grid Strap Spacer Series, made for HME modular freestanding enclosures. Panel builders and OEM engineers use it when 75 mm grid straps are mounted front to back on the bottom flanges of the cabinet and need to be spaced correctly.
Each spacer is constructed of 14 gauge galvanized steel. The part drawing shows 75 mm (2.95 in) and 17 mm (0.69 in) dimensions, matching the 75 mm width of the grid straps it is designed to space. Hammond describes it simply as a Grid Spacer (set of 2), and the spacers are sold in pairs.
