The HFMDT20168 is a two-door Type 12 modular freestanding disconnect enclosure sized 2000 x 1600 x 800 mm (78.74 x 62.99 x 31.50 in, H x W x D). It is intended for control panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a wide, rugged housing for flange mount disconnect and circuit breaker requirements in a joinable modular system. At 800 mm deep, it offers the most front-to-back space of the HFMDT sizes, useful for bulky devices and heavy wiring.
Construction is formed 14 gauge steel with a fully welded frame and a 25mm hole pattern for component and accessory mounting. A foam gasket on all openings provides a dust-tight seal, four reinforced eyebolts handle lifting, and bonding and grounding studs are provided for all doors and panels. The primary door is secured with a double-bit key and the secondary door with hidden quarter turn latches; doors open 135° and can be interchanged, removed or reversed. The finish is phosphatized steel with RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coating.
The standard configuration includes the frame, removable solid top panel, removable bottom panel with gland plates (512 x 506 mm cutout per the drawing), solid front doors with door frames, a removable rear cover panel with removable center post, the inner mounting panel (1896 x 1499 mm (74.65 x 59.02 in)), disconnect-to-door-handle activation hardware and the hinged flange door. The inner panel is specified as unpainted galvanized 12 gauge steel; due to industry shortages of large galvanized sheets, some larger inner panels are temporarily substituted with painted steel versions.
The multi-vendor flange cutout accommodates disconnect hardware from ABB, Allen Bradley, C-H Westinghouse, General Electric, ITE Siemens and Square D. The HFMDT20168 is UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12, and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. Shipping weight is 395 lbs (179.17 kg).
