Hammond HCT482411H 48x24x11" Single-Door NEMA 3R CT Cabinet

The Hammond HCT482411H is a UL 508A Type 3R current transformer cabinet measuring 48 in high, 24 in wide and 11 in deep (1219 x 610 x 279 mm). It is designed as a current transformer box to house and protect instrument current transformers in outdoor applications, and it also serves as a general purpose enclosure for junction, meter, transformer and relay work. For electricians and panel builders, it provides protection against rain, sleet, snow and dripping water.

At 24 in wide, the body and covers are formed from 14 gauge galvanized steel (the series moves to 12 gauge only at 30 in and wider). The top has an integral drip shield and the sides are seam free. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished inside and out with a recoatable ANSI 61 smooth gray polyester powder.

The single removable door hangs on permanently installed lift-off hinges and closes with a hasp/screw closure that includes padlocking provisions. Per the part drawing, the door measures 24.20 in wide by 47.45 in high and the door opening is 21.99 in wide by 46.61 in high. Mounting holes run through the back of the enclosure on 21.00 in by 45.00 in centres, and ground studs are shown on both the body and the door.
