Hammond GRDT375 Brass Ground Stud Kit, 3/8-16 Thread with O-Ring

The Hammond GRDT375 is a brass ground kit from the DRDT Series Ground Stud Kit line. It gives electricians, panel builders and OEM engineers a ground lug that provides continuous ground through the enclosure body, so a bonding or earthing connection can be made through the enclosure wall.

The stud is brass with a 3/8-16 thread on both ends and a 1 in threaded portion. An O-ring seals securely within a precision groove with an outside dimension of 0.875 in. The part drawing for the GRDT375 shows an overall length of 2.51 in.

Mounting hardware is included. Installation requires drilling a 0.375 in hole in the enclosure, after which the stud and hardware are fitted through it.

Because the same 3/8-16 thread is used on both ends, a ground conductor can be terminated on the stud outside the enclosure while internal bonding is made on the inside, keeping the ground path continuous through the enclosure body. The O-ring in its precision groove seals the stud where it passes through the enclosure wall.

The kit is light, with a shipping weight of 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg), and ships in a bag. It is listed as REACH and RoHS compliant, and the manufacturer tags it for bonding, grounding and earthing applications.
