Hammond FPRK2642BK 26-42 in Adjustable Depth Four Post Conversion Kit

The FPRK2642BK is a Universal Four Post Rack Kit that converts two compatible 2-post racks into a fully adjustable 4-post rack frame. It is aimed at IT and AV integrators, telecom technicians, industrial controls builders and facilities teams who need 4-post support for deeper or heavier equipment without removing and replacing racks that are already installed and certified.

The kit is built from 16-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish that is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, TSCA and RoHS compliant. The universal design fits any EIA-310-E compliant rack with mounting rails on both sides, so it can be used with Hammond racks and most third-party racks, and it works with 10-32 threaded, 12-24 threaded and square-hole rack rails for mixed environments.

FPRK2642BK covers the deeper of the two FPRK depth ranges, adjustable from 26 to 42 inches plus rack depth. Installed on RB-2P, RB-2PA or DNRRHDW racks the assembly spans 29.00 in (737 mm) minimum to 45.00 in (1143 mm) maximum depth; on a DRZ4 rack it spans 38.00 in (965 mm) to 54.00 in (1372 mm). Overall height of the bracket assembly is 3.50 in (89 mm), and shipping weight is 22.9 lbs (10.39 kg).

Each kit is sold as a set of 4 and includes four support angles, two sets of mounting brackets and all required installation hardware — the inner and outer 26-42 brackets, 1/4-20 x 1/2 carriage bolts, 1/4-20 KEP nuts and 10-32 x 3/4 Quadrex truss-head screws — for a simple bolt-on installation with consistent rack spacing. When installed with compatible Hammond racks, the kit maintains UL, Telcordia GR-63-CORE and seismic compliance. FPRK2642BK is TAA compliant and manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.
