The EPG4236 is an Eclipse inner panel sized to fit a 42 x 36 Eclipse enclosure, giving a wide sub-panel for control layouts that need more horizontal room than the 30-inch-wide sizes. It is the galvanized version of the EP Series inner panel; the painted mild steel equivalent is part number EP4236. Panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers use it as the mounting surface for the equipment inside the enclosure.
The panel is built from 12 gauge steel and finished in unpainted galvanized steel. Its slotted corner design makes it easier to mount, and the series is sized larger than a standard NEMA panel used in the same sized enclosure, giving more usable mounting area.
Per the series ordering table, the EPG4236 measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) (dimension D) by 34.20 in (869 mm) (dimension E). The part drawing shows overall panel dimensions of 40.17 x 34.17 in, with Ø0.44 in mounting holes. Shipping weight is 45 lbs (20.41 kg), packed in a box.
Hammond's Eclipse wallmount assembly instructions note that the inner panel is ordered separately for the EN4SD, EN4TD, ST and EN4DSC series, and that the 5/16-18 kep nuts securing the panel are torqued to 100 in/lbs. The part is listed as RoHS compliant and REACH compliant.
