The EPG4230 is an Eclipse inner panel sized to fit a tall, mid-width Eclipse enclosure where the back panel carries a column of terminal blocks, relays and DIN-mounted devices. It is the galvanized version of the EP Series inner panel; the painted mild steel equivalent is part number EP4230. Panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers use it as the mounting surface for the equipment inside the enclosure.
The panel is built from 12 gauge steel and finished in unpainted galvanized steel. Its slotted corner design makes it easier to mount, and the series is sized larger than a standard NEMA panel used in the same sized enclosure, giving more usable mounting area.
Per the series ordering table, the EPG4230 measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) (dimension D) by 28.20 in (716 mm) (dimension E). The part drawing shows overall panel dimensions of 40.17 x 28.17 in, with Ø0.44 in mounting holes. Shipping weight is 35 lbs (15.88 kg), packed in a box.
Hammond's Eclipse wallmount assembly instructions note that the inner panel is ordered separately for the EN4SD, EN4TD, ST and EN4DSC series, and that the 5/16-18 kep nuts securing the panel are torqued to 100 in/lbs. The part is listed as RoHS compliant and REACH compliant.
