The EPA is a universal quarter-turn padlock adaptor that lets you padlock a quarter-turn latch on a Hammond enclosure. It is designed for use with EN4SD / Series 2000 enclosures and is also compatible with C2, C4 and HWM rack cabinets, making it relevant to panel builders, facilities teams and IT integrators who need to restrict access to an enclosure or cabinet.
The adaptor fits directly over the quarter-turn lock or slot, preventing access until the padlock is removed. It is constructed in 14-gauge 316 stainless steel and comes with stainless steel mounting hardware. Once installed, the bolts cannot be removed without the door open, so the adaptor cannot simply be unscrewed from outside. The padlock itself is not included.
The EPA is easily installed in the field and maintains the enclosure's UL/CSA Type 4 and 4X rating. The part drawing shows an overall length of 3.575 in, with 1.38 in and 1.00 in dimensions and holes of 0.375 in and 0.120 in diameter.
