Hammond EP4224 42x24 Eclipse Inner Panel, White 12 Gauge Steel

The EP4224 is an Eclipse Series inner panel sized to fit a 42 x 24 enclosure, giving panel builders, OEM engineers and electricians a flat 12 gauge steel mounting surface for the equipment going into the enclosure.

The EP4224 is the mild steel version, finished in recoatable powder white; if an unpainted galvanized panel is preferred, the matching part is EPG4224. The panel is 12 gauge steel and, as with the rest of the EP Series, is larger than the standard NEMA panel used in the same sized enclosure, which frees up extra mounting area.

Hammond's ordering table lists size D as 40.20 in (1021 mm) and size E as 22.20 in (564 mm). The part drawing shows overall panel dimensions of 22.17 in wide by 40.17 in high, a material thickness of 0.10 in, and 0.44 in diameter mounting slots at a spacing of 21.19 in across and 19.59 in + 19.59 in vertically. As one of the larger sizes, this panel has formed flanges for added strength; the drawing shows a 0.75 in flange dimension.

The slotted corner design is intended to make the panel easier to mount. It ships in a box with a shipping weight of 33 lbs (14.97 kg), and is listed as RoHS compliant and REACH compliant. The powder white finish is described by Hammond as recoatable.
