Hammond EN4SD723612LG 72x36x12 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD723612LG is a large 72x36x12 in (1,829 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm) Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure from the Eclipse Series, finished in RAL 7035 textured light gray. It is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments, suiting control panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket. The door uses Latch Type C: a key-lockable multi-point handle with 3 point latching plus additional quarter turns top and bottom, with the latch and handle in zinc diecast with black epoxy finish. Hidden hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel hinge pins, and a door alignment guide is provided on 36 in wide enclosures such as this one. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished with a recoatable powder inside and out.

The ordering table lists 72.00 in (1829 mm) high, 36.00 in (914 mm) wide and 12.00 in (305 mm) deep; the drawing shows a 70.31 x 34.31 in door opening and a 71.97 x 35.97 in door. Collar studs are provided for the optional inner panel EP7236 (70.20 in (1783 mm) x 34.20 in (869 mm)). Door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK; EN4SD72* enclosures require 2 adapter kits. Shipping weight is 222 lbs (100.70 kg), shipped on a skid.

A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included; a bonding stud sits on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD723612LG is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is also required to maintain UL/CSA.
