Hammond EN4SD723012LG 72 x 30 x 12 in Type 4 Steel Wall Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD723012LG is a full 72 in high single-door enclosure from the Eclipse Series of Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosures, measuring 72 x 30 x 12 in (1829 x 762 x 305 mm) H x W x D. It is built to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, industrial wallmount applications. At 12 in deep it keeps a comparatively slim profile on the wall.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and the gasket is a seamless poured-in-place design. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished inside and out with a recoatable RAL 7035 textured light gray powder; the same size in ANSI 61 smooth gray is EN4SD723012GY.

This part uses latch Type C: a handle with 3-point latching plus additional quarter turns top and bottom. The key-lockable handle is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless pins, the door is removable and interchangeable, and its swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK (two kits are required for EN4SD72* enclosures such as this one). The drawing shows a door opening of 28.31 x 70.31 in.

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional panel for this size is EP7230, measuring 70.20 in (1783 mm) H x 28.20 in (716 mm) W. Included is a hardware kit with panel nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes; a door bonding stud and body grounding stud are fitted.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12, IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is 30 in wide (over 24 in) the inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 190 lbs (86.18 kg), packed on a skid.
