Hammond EN4SD603620GY 60 x 36 x 20 in Type 4 Steel Wall Enclosure, Gray

The EN4SD603620GY is a tall 60 in single-door enclosure from the Eclipse Series of Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosures, measuring 60 x 36 x 20 in (1524 x 914 x 508 mm) H x W x D. It is built to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, industrial wallmount applications. Its 20 in depth gives room for deeper components.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and the gasket is a seamless poured-in-place design. The cover and enclosure are phosphatized and finished inside and out with a recoatable ANSI 61 smooth gray powder; the same size in RAL 7035 textured light gray is EN4SD603620LG.

This part uses latch Type B: a handle with 3-point latching. The key-lockable handle is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless pins, the door is removable and interchangeable, and its swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. A door alignment guide is provided because this enclosure is 36 in wide. The drawing shows a door opening of 34.31 x 58.31 in.

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional panel for this size is EP6036, measuring 58.20 in (1478 mm) H x 34.20 in (869 mm) W, and the enclosure itself ships less panel. Included is a hardware kit with panel nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes; a door bonding stud and body grounding stud are fitted.

Ratings are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12, IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is 36 in wide (over 24 in) the inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 220 lbs (99.79 kg), packed on a skid.
