Hammond EN4SD423610LG 42x36x10 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD423610LG is a single-door Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 42 in high, 36 in wide and 10 in deep (1,067 mm x 914 mm x 254 mm). Built from mild steel and rated NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, it is designed to house electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments, making it a fit for control panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed wall-hung cabinet.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The enclosure is phosphatized and powder coated inside and out in RAL 7035 textured light gray; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD423610GY.

This size uses Type B latching, a handle with 3-point latching; the multi-point handle (key lockable) is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 34.31 x 40.31 in, and the drawing shows 30.64 x 37.85 in of clear space available on the door. As a 36 in wide enclosure it includes a door alignment guide. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 117 lbs (53.07 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP4236 panel measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) high by 34.20 in (869 mm) wide. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD423610LG is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
