Hammond EN4SD422410LG 42x24x10 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD422410LG is a single-door Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 42 in high, 24 in wide and 10 in deep (1,067 mm x 610 mm x 254 mm). Built from mild steel and rated NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, it is designed to house electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments, making it a fit for control panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed wall-hung cabinet.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The enclosure is phosphatized and powder coated inside and out in RAL 7035 textured light gray; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD422410GY.

This size uses Type B latching, a handle with 3-point latching; the multi-point handle (key lockable) is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 22.31 x 40.31 in, and the drawing shows 18.64 x 40.00 in of clear space available on the door. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 87 lbs (39.46 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP4224 panel measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) high by 22.20 in (564 mm) wide. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD422410LG is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
