Hammond EN4SD363616GY 36x36x16 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, ANSI 61 Gray

The EN4SD363616GY is a single-door Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 36 in high, 36 in wide and 16 in deep (914 mm x 914 mm x 406 mm). Built from mild steel and rated NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, it is designed to house electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments, making it a fit for control panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a sealed wall-hung cabinet.

Construction is 14 gauge formed steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth. A formed lip on the body keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket completes the seal. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel pins. Inside and out, the enclosure is phosphatized and finished in a recoatable ANSI 61 smooth gray powder coat; order EN4SD363616LG for the RAL 7035 light gray version.

This size uses Type A latching with slotted quarter turns; the quarter turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 34.49 x 34.49 in, and the drawing shows 34.00 x 34.00 in of clear space available on the door. As a 36 in wide enclosure it includes a door alignment guide. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 121 lbs (54.88 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP3636 panel measures 34.20 in (869 mm) high by 34.20 in (869 mm) wide. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD363616GY is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
