The EN4SD363612SS is a single-door Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 36 in x 36 in x 12 in (914 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm), built from 304 stainless steel. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it in harsh industrial environments, making it a practical choice for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers who need a large, square Type 4X box on a wall.
The body is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip around the opening helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the hinged door, and the hidden hinges use stainless steel hinge pins. Cover and enclosure are left natural stainless steel with a smooth brushed finish.
According to the part drawing, the door opening is 34.49 in x 34.49 in, and the clear space available on the door is 30.65 in x 31.88 in. Four 0.50 in wall mounting holes sit on 34.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for those holes is included. Collar studs are provided for an inner panel, and because the enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA.
The Eclipse stainless enclosures are UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, comply with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, and meet IP66 under IEC 60529 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001). A bonding stud is fitted on the door and a grounding stud inside the enclosure. The unit ships in a box at 105 lbs (47.63 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
