Hammond EN4SD363020LG 36x30x20 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

Panel builders and electrical contractors who need a sealed wall-hung cabinet can specify the EN4SD363020LG: a 36 x 30 x 20 in (914 mm x 762 mm x 508 mm) Eclipse Series single-door wallmount enclosure in mild steel. It carries NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 ratings and is intended to enclose electrical and electronic equipment exposed to harsh industrial conditions.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The enclosure is phosphatized and powder coated inside and out in RAL 7035 textured light gray; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD363020GY.

This size uses Type A latching with slotted quarter turns; the quarter turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 28.49 x 34.49 in, and the drawing shows 28.00 x 34.00 in of clear space available on the door. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 114 lbs (51.71 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP3630 panel measures 34.20 in (869 mm) high by 28.20 in (716 mm) wide. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD363020LG is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
