Hammond EN4SD30248WLG 30x24x8" Type 4 Window Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD30248WLG is an Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 30 x 24 x 8 in (762 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm), fitted with a hinged window door and quarter turn latches. It is designed to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment in wallmount applications where viewing of component operation is necessary while maintaining protection ratings, so panel builders and OEM engineers can check equipment without opening the door.

At 30 x 24 in, this is the tallest footprint in the Eclipse window-door line. Its 8 in depth adds room behind the window for components and wiring. The drawing shows a door opening of 22.49 in wide by 28.49 in high, and collar studs are provided for mounting the optional EP3024 inner panel (28.20 in (716 mm) H x 22.20 in (564 mm) W), which is sold separately.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A full view UV resistant polycarbonate window allows maximum viewing of the inner panel, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel hinge pins, and the zinc diecast quarter turn latches carry a black epoxy finish and require a tool to open. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder finished inside and out in RAL7035 textured light gray (LG); the ANSI 61 gray version is EN4SD30248WGY.

For installation, a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, and a bonding stud on the door plus a grounding stud in the enclosure simplify earthing. The EN4SD30248WLG is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA Cert. LR21001), complies with NEMA 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is REACH and RoHS compliant. Shipping weight is 46 lbs (20.87 kg).
