Hammond EN4SD242412SS 24x24x12 Type 4X 304 Stainless Wallmount Enclosure

EN4SD242412SS is a 304 stainless steel Eclipse Series enclosure measuring 24 x 24 x 12 in (610 x 610 x 305 mm) for wallmount use. Electricians and OEM builders use this style of box to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh industrial environments, and the 12 in depth leaves room for deeper devices.

It is built from formed 14 gauge stainless steel. Seams are continuously welded and ground smooth, a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door. The door rides on hidden hinges with stainless steel pins, latches with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns, and can be removed for modifications.

Drawing dimensions include a 22.49 x 22.49 in door opening, 12.70 in inside depth, 12.84 in depth including the door and 22.00 x 22.00 in of clear space on the door. Rear mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on a 22.50 x 22.50 in pattern. The optional EP2424 inner panel measures 22.20 x 22.20 in and fastens to the supplied collar studs; a hardware kit with panel nuts and sealing washers for the wall holes comes with the enclosure.

The unit is UL 508A and CSA listed Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66 (a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements). It ships boxed at 59 lbs (26.76 kg). For 316 stainless, see EN4SD242412S16.
