Hammond EN4SD242412LG 24x24x12 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The Hammond Eclipse EN4SD242412LG is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 24 x 24 x 12 in (610 x 610 x 305 mm) with a single hinged door and slotted quarter-turn latching (latch Type A). It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh industrial environments, with a square 24 x 24 in face, for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip around the opening helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The quarter-turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. Enclosure and cover are phosphatized and finished inside and out in a recoatable textured RAL 7035 light gray powder coat; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD242412GY.

Its 12 in (305 mm) depth adds room over the 10 in version of the same 24 x 24 in face size. The drawing shows a door opening of 22.49 in wide by 22.49 in high and 22.00 x 22.00 in of clear space available on the door. Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the matching optional panel is EP2424, measuring 22.20 in (564 mm) high by 22.20 in (564 mm) wide. Shipping weight is 56 lbs (25.40 kg).

For installation, the EN4SD242412LG includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, which are 0.50 in diameter on a 22.50 x 22.50 in pattern per the drawing. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. The door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements.
