Hammond EN4SD20248LG 20x24x8 In Type 4 Steel Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD20248LG is an Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 20 in x 24 in x 8 in (508 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm) (H x W x D), finished in RAL 7035 Light Gray. It is built to enclose electrical and/or electronic equipment and protect it in harsh, industrial environments, for panel builders and OEM engineers who need a sealed wall-hung box. It measures 24 in wide by 20 in tall, with an 8 in depth that is 2 in more than the EN4SD20246.

Construction is formed steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip on the enclosure to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door seals on a seamless poured-in-place gasket and hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel hinge pins. This size uses latch Type A - slotted quarter turns - with the quarter-turn latch zinc diecast in a black epoxy finish. Enclosure and door are phosphatized and powder coated inside and out in RAL 7035 textured light gray.

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional inner panel for this size is EP2024, measuring 18.20 in (462 mm) high by 22.20 in (564 mm) wide. Per the drawing, the door opening is 22.51 x 18.51 in (W x H), the clear space available on the door is 22.00 x 18.00 in, and inside depth is 8.71 in. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure.

For installation, a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included; the back has 22.50 x 18.50 in wall mounting hole spacing. Door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. It is rated UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. It ships in a box at 32 lbs (14.51 kg).
