Hammond EN4SD202410GY 20x24x10 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, ANSI 61 Gray

The Hammond Eclipse EN4SD202410GY is a Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 20 x 24 x 10 in (508 x 610 x 254 mm) with a single hinged door and slotted quarter-turn latching (latch Type A). It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh industrial environments, with a horizontal format, 24 in wide by 20 in high, for panel builders, electricians and OEM engineers.

The body is formed from 16 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip around the opening helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The quarter-turn latches are zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. Enclosure and cover are phosphatized and finished inside and out in a recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coat; the same size in RAL 7035 light gray is EN4SD202410LG.

The body is 10 in (254 mm) deep behind a 20 x 24 in face. The drawing shows a door opening of 22.51 in wide by 18.51 in high and 22.00 x 18.00 in of clear space available on the door. Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the matching optional panel is EP2024, measuring 18.20 in (462 mm) high by 22.20 in (564 mm) wide. Shipping weight is 35 lbs (15.88 kg).

For installation, the EN4SD202410GY includes a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes, which are 0.50 in diameter on a 22.50 x 18.50 in pattern per the drawing. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. The door swing can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. The series is listed to UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), complies with IEC 60529 IP66 and NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements.
